See those kids playing in the water? That was yesterday morning. It has been so warm these last days, I want to jump up and down with happiness. I might have done so a few times already. Because normally, this sort of sunny days are scarce, even when we get a "good" summer. A day like this is a gem, that you enjoy and cherish and learn to make the most of it. But we've had one full week of nonstop nice weather, no rain, and true warmth. Because you also have sunny days in the midst of a chilly wind. No, no, now we are talking about true summer. And it seems like another place. We went for a walk in the park, got some takeaway food and just sat on a bench and enjoyed the afternoon.
And you know what reminds me of sunshine as well? Our new bright, happy yellow closet. Because, yes, we loved it, and all of you also voted for it. It was a 100% yellow to 0% red, loud and clear result So here it is, on our doorstep, and on its new little corner of our home.
Lilie, do you see the orange, yellowy flowers? |

Your yellow closet looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that you are getting nice, warm, sunny days. I hope they will last, and that this will be a mild winter!
I wonder whether I could be able to cope with the lack of sunshine...I used to think I could, but now I think I might get depressed. I don't mind cold weather (I love it actually) but I need the sun and the blue skies to be really happy. Maybe I think this only because I have always lived in sunny places! :)
Yay for the yellow cupboard! It looks great in your flat. Also, excellent pie chart.
ReplyDeleteWhat is up with the weather?! Having moaned about how damp it was all summer, it got up to 24 degrees in Edinburgh on Friday. I sort of melted.
Claire
What a happy piece of furniture! No doubt it was a great choice.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the beach yesterday, can you believe this? October?
Yellowy-orange flowers, indeed! :D It's definitely a color palette that calls to me this time of year. LOVE that yellow cupboard! I need some color like that in my apt. too.
ReplyDelete@ Marcela, hope the warm wave lasts too. I think that what gets people depressed is the lack of light. In the dreaded winter you get out of the house in the morning and it's dark, and at 5, it's dark again. And it's not even comparable to the Scandinavian countries, with the 12 hours of dark.... I don't particularly like the cold weather either, I still have to learn how to dress warm without looking like an overstuffed teddy bear.
ReplyDelete@ Claire, yeah the weather is crazy, but for this once I am not going to complain about the sunny balm days we have been blessed with. I am glad it was warm in Edinburgh too. And thanks.
@ Ines, I know. I am glad you enjoyed, and hey, happy birthday again !
@ Lilie Thanks, and yes, I am all for bright colors, the sky already has gray tendencies.
Es fabuloso tu kastje amarillo!
ReplyDeleteLo digo otra vez... se parece a ti!
