Happy to be busy like a bee.

These days have been a bit hectic. Between having friends over, visiting friends, going to Amsterdam, taking classes, baking, painting, organizing activities with a bunch of other Mexicans, hospital appointments (yeah those too) and daily life I don't seem to stop. And I am enjoying it so much. I can't believe we have a full schedule until May 13, this never used to happen to us.

Last weekend I took another class and I am now able to paint cakes with a stained-glass effect. Between some birthdays and other small events that people have trusted me with I am busy with designs and already thinking of what I will do next. So here's a sneak peek.

I am so happy and grateful that these people have trusted me. And if you didn't see it yet here's my shiny biz website, isn't it pretty? (If I do say so myself). While we're in full-on self-promoting mode (sorry for this, I won't do it often!) you can see what I'm up to on Facebook and Pinterest.
What have you been up to? I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and flowers all around, I can't cease to be impressed at the effect the weather and the regrowth of life have on us.

  1. LOVE the website! Amanda, you are so talented. I'd honestly ask you to do a cake for a special day we have coming up next month, but I guess it'd get a bit destroyed in the post ;)

I am so happy to hear you are filling your life with wonderful little things these days. And yes, the weather has a huge impact!

    1. Oh thanks so much :)
Yeah I am not sure if it would arrive in one piece, I want to figure that one out, they send medical stuff safely (but I guess suck kind of handling would turn out super expensive). I will totally make you a cake when / if we meet!
Or send me your address and I'll see what I can do...

    1. Thanks so much. And Fiona, one of the new clients came a bit because of you. You once linked an article that led me to an "expat group". This expat group has some members in NL, and one of the ladies there asked me for a cake :)

    1. Thanks so much! I am trying to figure out if they would be a way to do that, but I am thinking if there was it could be super pricy. (Maybe cookies though?). (Send me your address and I will find something !)

    1. Thanks so much :) I have a thing for flamingos, I really really love them. And my mom use to have australian parakeets, so they bring back memories.
If you ever come here you'll get cake!
